TeraFlex JLU Wrangler Unlimited Models of 2018 Moab Easter Jeep Safari
TeraFlex brought out four modified 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (JLU) models for the 2018 Moab Easter Jeep Safari including a Sport, two Rubicon models, and a Sahara. All four vehicles are powered by the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
CR-1: JLU Wrangler Unlimited Sport
Based on a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport, the TeraFlex CR-1 (Concept Red 1) JLU is designed to be a true tri-sport vehicle capable of handling Baja, the Hammers, and the daily commute. The CR-1 showcases the technology and capability of TeraFlex research and development paired with the new JL(U) platform.
The new JL(U) platform lends itself well to a coilover conversion. The combination of TeraFlex’s trail-proven adjustable Alpine long flexarms and custom Falcon coilover piggyback shocks provide maximum flex.
Exceptional flex translates into consistent tire contact and with 39x13.5R17LT BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM3 tires providing the traction, it was mandatory trail insurance to bolt a set of ARB air locker-equipped TeraFlex heavy-duty full-float Tera60 front and CRD60 rear axles with Tom Wood's Custom Drive Shafts under the CR-1.
Raceline Monster beadlock wheels keep the tires turning even at single digit air pressure, while a PSC Cylinder Assist Kit steers the massive KM3 tires. A Warn winch provides added off-road security. Prototype Nemesis Industries fender flares, billy rockers, and bumpers provide extreme rock protection, while J.W. Speaker LED headlights illuminate the path.
JLU Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon
The silver 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon features our preproduction 4” Coil Spring Suspension System. This kit's prototype flexarm brackets and a set of adjustable Alpine flexarms with prototype joints as well as front and rear track bar brackets correct suspension geometry. These suspension pieces combined with longer sway bar links provide maximum flex, while the closed-microcellular foam bump stops soften the harshest terrain.
The heart of the silver JLUR's off-road capability comes from a set of adjustable Falcon Series 3.3 Fast Adjust Piggyback shock absorbers for 4-6” lifts. A set of Raceline wheels and 37x12.5R17LT BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires put the power down to the terra firma. This set up is right at home on high-speed sandy washes or more extreme trails!
JLU Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon
TeraFlex's black 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon gets a height enhancement from our production 2.5” Coil Spring Suspension System, which is in the final stages of testing. This kit features adjustable lower Alpine flexarms, sway bar extensions and brackets, and closed-microcellular foam bump stops to protect while going through serious whoops.
Despite their fixed-rate, the Falcon Series 2.1 Monotube shocks for 2.5-3.5” lifts soaks up nearly all rough patches on the trail. This JLUR rides on a set of Raceline wheels wrapped in 35x12.5R17LT BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 (Raptor spec) tires.
JLU Wrangler Unlimited Sahara
Our white 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara features a 1.5” Performance Spacer Leveling Kit with 2” lift spacers in front and 1.5” lift spacers in back to eliminate the factory nose-down rake, while the closed-microcellular foam bump stops smooth out the ride.
We also added a set of Falcon Series 3.1 piggyback shock absorbers to enhance the handling and control of the new model with 0-2” lifts. It rides on a set of LT285/70R17 (32.7x11.5R17LT) BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires wrapped around factory Rubicon wheels.
